Installed today - very nice and much better. My old ones were cracked but not as bad as some of the scary pictures.

Good to hear! Keep visually inspecting these things for continued airworthiness. These will last a lot longer than the rubber nitrile rings. Good o-rings are key to ensuring fuel contamination does not occur.

I just had to leave my plane tied down in Winter Haven, FL for 8 rainy days. The new o rings did their job, no water at all.

Yup! My airplane got water in the static lines and no water in the fuel tanks from monsoons rain storms in Panama City Beach earlier this summer. They work great!

What happened when you got water in the static lines? I didn’t notice any issues on the flight home.

I don't know about the Beech products, but most Pipers have a manual static line drain as part of the preflight.

The airspeed and vertical speed indicator would jump irrationally when I would climb or descend. This would also cause my Stec50 to porpoise trying to chase an altitude. An A&P had to disassemble the lines and they found a bunch of water in there.

Sounds like you and I have a similar set up. I have an Stec 50 also but didn’t have any issues with it after sitting out in the rain. Luck I guess.
