James,
Sorry for what is likely an obvious question, but...
My caps are not like any of the pictures on the 17 pages of this thread. I just want to be sure I am ordering the correct o-rings.
My caps are; SHAW AERO DEVICES INC, PART # 416-25 ROSS SPEC. MIL-C-7244B TYPE I CLASS I SIZE 3 With only two camming/locking lugs.
I assume they are the same 416 caps you spec, but you call out a cotter key as part of the kit. Mine do not have a key, but rather a locking nut to supply a variable tension on the stem. On the very end of the stem is a chain quick clip for retaining the chain.
Again, sorry for being so dense.
If they are good for me, please post a simple "Yes" and I will get them ordered.
Thanks, Tim.

Tim, Like these? I believe the big and small o-rings in the Shaw 416 kits will be replacements for yours however I need to consult the parts catalogue. Everyone who has bought the Shaw 416 caps are the -50 type, which are a newer model. Expect a follow-up on this thread later today. James Username Protected wrote: James,

Yes, just like the ones pictured.
Yep, that's me, the guy without a "newer model"
Just for the brain trust;
These fit a 1956 G model in the ten gallon AUX wing tanks.
Standing by...

Standing by... An oldie but a goodie. You're only 4 years older than me M! Anyway, I did some research and there isn't much in the IPC. I did find a prior BT post that said that the same o-rings for the Shaw 416-50 worked on the 416-25. If they end up not being a good fit for you I'll refund you your money. Do you need two kits? How about your main fuel tank fuel caps?

Thank you for the leg work James.
I do not expect you to assume any responsibility for the application.
I will post the results when they are installed so you have another data point.
The mains are the Thermos Bottle style and no o-rings involved. Same for the Osborne tips, just a smaller size.
Now I just need to replace my brake puck o-rings and I will be in fat city.
