Just a friendly reminder if you order Gabb cap kits the o-ring will be loose when you put it on but when you reassemble the cap and you close the plunger, it will fit nicely by design. When the plunger is closed they will become bulbous to create a seal. These O-rings are the O-rings that the parts catalogue calls for except they are fluorosilicone and much more durable. Parker, which happens to own the Shaw fuel cap designs now, says these have a 15 year shelf life. The cotter pin for the Gabb caps goes in the bottom for the chain eye.

I got the Gabb O-ring kits and at first I was concerned that they were too big. I contacted James and he assured me they were correct, sure enough when I reassembled the caps even though they seemed too big the squishing of the GABB cap held them perfectly and they seal wonderfully.
I'm a happy customer.
So if you have the "gift of GABB" trust the O-rings... they will work
Thanks for putting this together for the rest of us!

Current stock levels are:

0x Shaw 531/431 kits
26x Shaw 416 kits
7x Gabb kits

More Shaw 531/431 kits are on orders so I am taking names but no money yet until they come in and are assembled.

Also, just a friendly reminder that there is still a lag between payment and shipment due to my extended studying abroad trip (70 days left, who's counting?). My wife INSISTS on only going to the post office once a week, which is arduous for her since our Vegas post office is always packed and she is an exhausted teacher. Once a week if she is in a good mood. My wife is a lovely delicate flower whom I must keep happy. I appreciate your patience, understanding, and support.

Are all the fuel caps universal size for all bonanzas? Could my Shaw 416-25 caps be used on a V35B? Could a Shaw 431 cap be used on my H35?

Mike, they are not. The Shaw 416 has a 3" opening and the Shaw 531/431 has a 3.5" opening.

I'd like to buy 6 Shaw 431 kits

How do I know what type of fuel cap I have?
Is it written on the cap somewhere?
