It does not appear to be pickled, however when the engine came into our possession we removed top plugs and sprayed MM oil in all cylinders and rotated the crank several times. As noted at buyers option and in their presence we will pull all cylinders for parts inspection. At that time the cam and lifters will be visible to be inspected. Thanks Stan
