Be sure to check the axle adapter triangular flanges to see if they are subject to the AD,
Beech was welding the axle to the flange and grinding the control wheel mounting face weld to make it flush. AD came out after some experienced detachment of the control wheel from the axle.

This was typical of the thin flanges (.090") with welds ground flat.
After this the new style axles had a nub protruding from the face of the flange with a very visible fillet weld. Because the large rams wheels did not have a hole in the mounting face, Beech used a spacer between the triangular mounting plate and the control wheel. The hole was added to the control wheel to make it backward compatible and omit the spacer.

We see many control wheels that have the clearance hole still use the spacer. Not needed, is extra weight and puts the control wheel slightly aft.

Many of these adapters were removed in accordance with the AD. While sitting around in piles of old parts, some may have found their way back into circulation.
