The GRA 55 installation manual states that the 5G filter is optional. See page 2-3 of Install manual Revision G (most recent revision of installation manual), and furthermore, with reference to AD 2023-10-02, Garmin actually recommends not upgrading any radar altimeter installation unless it is affected by the AD, which I don't think any of our airplane on BeechTalk are operating under.
