What I've seen here is; You post a WTB listing and you'll get a message from "Scammer" telling you he has a friend that has the item you're looking for and gives you an email to contact this friend. This is an old scam, seen this a lot on the Van's forums. The common scam is listing a nice item, like a radio or Bose headsets, for cheap price. You get sucked in, send money thought Vemo, Zelle, paypal friends and family, etc. and never see your item or money again. The only payment that has any protection it paypal goods and services, and a scammer will not take it since this payment can be reversed. Just be smart, anything nice and is valuable is not being sold cheap.

I couldn't find the "company" on the internet so did not contact the "friend". Sounded too fishy but this confirms my suspicions. Thanks for the heads up. Don

Also, never post your email or phone number in the ad. Perfect way to increase your odds of compromise. As a buyer, a phone call goes a long way to sniffing out D-bags. Call them! Can they talk the talk or seem clueless. You know how pilots like to run their mouths! Yep, that's prolly the best way to avoid wasting time and getting stung.
