I've been told these don't work that great, but have never used mine.
I don't have the BNC to Mini adapter cable.
They are discontinued, but I found this link.

One of your comm radios plugs into one BNC on back. The other BNC con tinues on to an external antenna.
When you plug in the BNC to mini adapter, (with the BNC plugged into your handheld radio), your handheld now us connected to the external antenna.
