I just retired a IO470N and installed a IO550B. They both use the same magnetos.
Note that Bendix was bought by Continental so these “Bendix“ magnetos are now CAT (Continental Aerospace Technologies).
Note that left and right magnetos are different.
One brand new left side magneto TCM S6RN-1225 Impulse Coupling. Never run. $1500. I installed a Sure Fly mag instead.
Two slightly used magnetos with impulse coupling, 50 hours since serviced by Aircraft Systems, Inc., Rockford, IL, a couple years ago. My servicing instructions were “I want to install these on my airplane and run them for 500 hours with no chance of failure”. I believe they did everything in an overhaul but did not paint them, so it was not an overhaul. These 2 mags were involved in a prop strike where the propeller did not stop but did hit a PowerTow. $1500 for both.
