Just listed on controller here: https://www.controller.com/listing/for- ... n-aircraft

Up for sale is my 1976 58 Baron. It is the culmination of a 2-year restoration. We are a 145 repair station and a Garmin dealer. It has brand new paint, glass, interior, engines, props, avionics, lights, lenses, tires, brakes, hoses, deshannon baffles, etc. This was meant to be the nicest Baron available when completed, and I think we did a pretty good job with that. Everything was signed off in May 2025, and the aircraft was flown 15 hours or so and any discrepancies were corrected that were noted during the flight. Then it went to paint and has only flown home from the paint shop since then in November. Been in the hangar ever since and has had ceramic applied whilst sitting there. here are a few photos, there are more on the controller ad. Asking $625K OBO

ACTT3880
TSMOH 16 hours, 2025 overhauls
Props 16 hours TSMOH
Annual/IFR 05/2025

Avionics:
G500 Txi 10" PFD
G500 Txi 7" EIS
GMA345 Audio panel
GTN750Xi
GNC215
GTX345
GFC600 autopilot w/ auto rudder bias and safeglide

While I greatly appreciate the compliments, a deposit would be better ;) Or you can just pay in full, that works too!

Jake, just curious if you’re spending all that money why didn’t you put in IO550’S ?

The performance would have been much better.

You mean, why didn't I spend a bunch more money? If you wish to purchase her, I'll be glad to convert it over for you at your expense...

I was going to post that it would be very unlikely you wouldn't end up putting more into the engine upgrade than you'd ever get out of it on the sale but it is true that if you're going to do it, the best time is when you're already replacing the engines.

I was going to post, "Quit being so sensitive, and answer the(honest, curious, rational) bleedin' question!!!!"

But you said it better.

Honestly, though......what WAS the thought process there? Yes, it's more money, but......this is a premium resto.....why not go all the way? With 550's, this would be way better than a G Baron, IMO.

Lance, wouldn’t IO550’S return more of the investment on a sale that some of the other “look good” items?

Could be. Then again Jake's "investment" in most of those other items is mostly labor (the added value is pretty close to the dealer cost of the avionics) while the engine upgrade would involve almost nothing except the cash outlay for the STC. Of course, the labor probably wasn't "free" but if much of the work was done with someone's "spare time" that might make a big difference.

Just curious what the thinking is with regard to a Safe Glide button in a Baron.

Obviously it would have an application in the event you run both engines dry. I also suppose if you lose an engine and you don't want to make your own decision about where to divert, you could hit the button, see where it's going to take you, and then disengage it.

I sure wish Garmin would develop a Safe Return button for Barons and Bonanzas!

Beautiful airplane, btw.
