The Garmin GIA63W is waas, the GIA63 is not waas. This is listed as having a GIA63 (without the W) so I'm assuming it is Not WAAS, at the moment anyway.

While I can't answer for OP, I did a checkout/took some lessons in one at KJYO and we were fuel limited to about 75 gallons due to weight. Useful Load is about 900 pounds but just only about 300 with full fuel. It was a fun plane/checkout!

Max: 3600
Empty: 2708
UL: 892
Landing: 3420
Zero Fuel: 3300
Fuel: 106 gallons - 98 usable.

May be too late to ask if its sold but is it upgradeable to WAAS?

Technically yes, but finding the parts is nearly impossible because they are no longer in production. We hear about maybe one every year or two that was able to successfully find parts and upgrade to WAAS.
