I’ve owned this plane since 2016 but now that kids are grown my mission has changed and flying is either solo or with spouse. I’ve owned 12 airplanes and loved the Baron, it’s the only plane I’ve kept for any length of time.
I recently listed it on TAP and haven’t figured out how to link the ad,but here are most of the specifics. Paint job is a 10/10.
Dry country B55, TC-780, spent most of its life in west Texas, Southern California and now Wyoming/Utah border. Always hangared in my ownership and to my knowledge always has been. Very shiny metal inside airframe with no corrosion. I purchased from an A/P in California that had extensively overhauled many systems (entire six pack, vacuum pumps, rechromed gear legs) etc. He was very thorough. IRAN on both engines approximately 200 hours ago, reconditioned camshafts, crankshafts, new cylinders. Good compressions, L. 435 SMOH, R. 1950 SMOH (but both IRANed, just doesn’t count as full overhaul), Recent paint job looks great. STC’d spin on oil filters, LED lights throughout. Complete logs.
Big baggage door option! Plane is IFR certified 9/2024, props overhauled 8/2024 annual due Sept 2025. I have done extensive avionics work to it including (certified) approach fast stack IFR hub, AV -20 efis, overhauled Garmin 530 WAAS, Garmin Flightstream 210, dual G2 digital engine monitors, new Garmin transponder and ADSB. New Audio panel and six place intercom system. Factory 02 system in place. Zeftronics voltage regulators, recent overhauled starters, new batteries in 2023. Britain autopilot. New carpet. Leather seats including rear 5/6th seats. New BAS shoulder harnesses.
Ancient damage history, partial nose gear collapse in 1973 properly repaired. Plane is located 50 miles NE of Salt Lake City in Evanston WY.
I’ve looked at Mooneys, Vans RVs and Bonanzas to downsize, probably going to end up with a Bonanza, love the Beechcraft quality of build. Happy to answer any questions you may have.

I currently have really old Insight 602 engine monitors that need replacing. How do you like the G2 versions?

Scott Hi Scott I really like these engine monitors, very easy to read and analyze data. They even have the ability to have you download data to SIM card if desired. Insight (at least in the past) had a trade in upgrade program which I took advantage of to purchase these.

Ok, great! I was wondering how easy it was to see given the size. I'm sure the color differences make it much easier to read than the old monochrome ones.

Yes , easy to read the engine monitors. I need reading glasses to a certain extent and can still make out the numbers without the glasses.

Hi James, I’m out of town at the moment but can check on Sunday to get better number. I believe my useful load is about 1580. Thx

Hi Sal The panel looks the same other than the Avidyne replaced with Garmin 530w. They both use the same rack. Plane is 45 miles away so not able to snap a photo at the moment. Thx!
