This is a really nice and really desirable airplane. In my opinion, this is the perfect year for the A36. It’s new enough that it is a 28 volt vs 14 volt system and new enough that it has the factory extended baggage area. So you have the lighter airframe, and with the 550 STC it is faster and climbs better than the newer, 1984 and later aircraft. The pre 84 airplanes always seem to fly better, to me. That is just MY opinion. I believe that with the D’Shannon 550 STC and the D’Shannon baffles, it also qualifies for a GWI STC from D’Shannon. Not to mention, the aileron cable AD never applied to this airframe. The aileron cable connections are in the wheel well where they are easily visually inspected vs under the floor board.

Just my 2 cents !

Frank

Yep, I have owned a 79, and now have an 80. They are definitely the ones to have.

We are about to list our 1979 A36 with all new garmin panel, auto pilot, engine monitoring, etc. It has the 550 and a great airplane. We are upgrading to a TBM.

DM me if you would like any pics or want to discuss prior to us getting it listed.

Hi Brad,

I’m interested also. Will soon be delivering my Piper Dakota to JA at ARR once the sale closes. Maybe the timing will work out and I can see your Beech then.

Thank you,
