Latitude Aviation is proud to bring to market N964MM, which is a highly upgraded, turnkey, late model Piper Turbo Aztec F. N964MM is owned by a BeechTalk member and is based in Everett, WA, just north of Seattle. This beautiful Aztec has great times at 3330 hours airframe & 545/627 SMOH.

N964MM spent 3 years in Canada between 2007-2010; during this time, the aircraft received outstanding maintenance care by US-certificated maintenance facilities, with rigorous inspections during both the export and import process. After returning to the US in 2010, N964MM received meticulous inspection, maintenance, and many thoughtful upgrades by renowned Aztec expert John Talmage at Diamond Aire, Kalispell, MT. As the PA23 community is aware, sadly John passed away last month.

Diamond Aire installed all new 1/4” solid windows (replacing OEM 1/8” double pane), soundproofing, window moldings, and speed slope windshield, which removes the OEM center divider, and enhances cruise speed, noise levels, and visibility. The Bob Fields electric inflatable door seal lowers cabin noise and removes chilly drafts. Other upgrades include a BFGoodrich full de-ice system with boots, hot props, and windshield hot plate, with all pneumatic boots replaced since new. N964MM has a 6-place built-in oxygen system with no leaks, 6-place intercom, Rosens, exterior LED/Pulselites, engine heaters, Gill battery tender, a new C&D combustion heater, and much more.

Late model Aztecs are extremely safe, with a wide and forgiving flight envelope, excellent weather capability and behavior in ice, and substantial crashworthiness: the airframe is designed with a rugged welded tubular structure underneath outer aluminum fuselage skins. The Aztec is solid as a rock, with stable, predictable flight characteristics.

N964MM has excellent all-around performance: 177 gal usable long range fuel (all bladders replaced or repaired by FFC) provide 5+ hours cruise, 180+ KTAS with engines run very conservatively in the mid-teens, outstanding short field performance with VG STC, and strong climb at both low and high altitudes.

N964MM’s cabin is large, with plenty of cabin width and legroom for each of the 6 cabin seats. A large 1690lb UL and excellent cargo capacity in large rear and nose baggage compartments make the Aztec a comfortable and capable load hauler.

The owner, who has cared for the aircraft for 14 years, reports N964MM has been completely dependable; the TIO-540 turbo system is well engineered and robust. The Aztec is straightforward to work on with easily sourced parts, factory corrosion proofing, and 2000 hr TBO derated 250hp Lycoming engines, that even when mildly boosted in the mid teens, are loafing along compared to other applications.

N964MM has a modern, highly upgraded IFR panel with S-Tec 55X autopilot, Aspen EFD1000 PFD with flight director, and a full suite of well-integrated Garmin equipment to include GTN 750Xi (displays Avidyne TAS-600 traffic & XM weather), GMX-200 MFD (displays XM weather & GWX 68 color RADAR), GDL-69A, GTX-33ES, and GMA 35C digital remote audio panel. JPI EDM 790 and FS-450 fuel computer, electric backup attitude indicator, and co-pilot instruments round out an extremely capable and triple redundant panel.

The best thing about N964MM is it is fully-equipped, and ready to go. This is a capable, reliable, maintainable, workhorse with great times, very thoroughly and thoughtfully upgraded. This is a good looking airplane that is ready to safely and comfortably fly with a huge load, from most any runway and through (or above!) most any weather one would prudently choose for a piston twin…for many more years.

Below is a spec sheet which has a Dropbox link that will take you to the high resolution photo gallery, maintenance logbooks, 337s, and other records. Please call, PM, or email anytime to discuss this incredible Turbo Aztec. Thank you!

Really nice Aztec.

Am I right that it appears the middle row of seats can be turned around in a club orientation?

Thanks, Matt - it’s a special one.

All 6 seats are forward-facing only, but they’re easily slid forward/aft, quickly removed, and the crew & center bucket seats tilt forward for boarding and recline to 3 positions. The aft couch is super comfy!

MM I believe is owned by our very own Mark Matheson who has been a very generous contributor of Aztec knowledge.
https://piperflyer.com/articles/art-cat ... -250t.html

To get improved performance I think you'd have to burn Jet A.

Sorry to see that Mark is selling! As a long term Aztec owner myself, I can tell you that Mark is *exactly* the kind of person you want to buy an airplane from. He and I spent quite a lot of time on the phone a few years ago as he considered an upgrade, ultimately deciding the Aztec suited him best. If you are considering a Turbo Aztec, this is probably the one to buy.

Thank you all for the kind comments about the owner and N964MM - you are all spot on.

N964MM is sold as of today to a BT member.

Thanks!
