Exterior:
Paint is good from far, but far from good. Ruddervators in good shape and repainted by A&P (could be redone better). Luckily there's no corrosion. I have a spare set of pristine ruddervators that were stripped, inspected, and zinc cromated I can include with negotiations.
Interior:
Completely redone in 2020 with Aviation Research bucket seat STC using front buckets out of a 60’s Debonair. Rear bench has third seat belt STC which allows 120lbs on outside positions with 85lbs in middle. No restriction if two outside seats occupied. Works great for my 5,6,8 year old.

Mechanically it's been extremely reliable. New interior was put in after purchasing on 2020 and the Aviation research bucket seat and read third seat belt STCs were done. With new paint it would be very sharp. The maintenance, after my purchase, has been at Aviation Classics and the first two were EXTENSIVE. I planned on keeping this forever so no expense was spared with catch up maintenance. A move is driving the sale and I’m sad to have to list it.
Damage History. Yes, in 1990 a refueling truck struck plane while it was tied down. This is when the FWF 470 conversion was performed. No issues since.
LOGS/PICS:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... weVSDGy3HcHistory: This is an interesting plane, in that I think I'm the 6th owner.
Here's a cool breakdown:
2/18/55 - Beech Aircraft Corp issues bill of sale to Roscoe Turner Aeronautical Corp
That same day, it's signed over to Ohio Oil Company (Standard Oil)
8/10/60 - Leasing company buys plane
6/15/61 - angels aviation (Christian outfit) purchases and it changes hands to various ministries until 1990
1990 - A&P/hangar neighbor's brother of Beechtalk Mike Smith buys the plane after the van strike/engine conversion in Canada
2010 - A&P friend of Beechtalk Chris Smith imports the plane to the US and it joins a flying club (and I first saw the plane around 2012)
2018 - A&P sells to Beechtalk Chris Smith!
2020 – I buy plane from Beechtalk Chris Smith
For 30 nearly years it was owned by the same family and lived in Canada/Dallas, and before that it was owned for nearly 30 years by a church organization and lived all over GA, FL, and Canada.
My timeline for selling is not urgent, but I do need to find its next care taker as I will moving.
