I'm marketing a friend of mines 182P here in hopes that I can skip the TAP/Controller hassle. I am not a broker, he is not interested in listing it with a broker, and I don't have a dog in the hunt other than trying to help a lifelong friend sell one of his two planes. 1973-1991 Airframe Logs are Missing. This plane has been used in a flight school in the past, has damage history in 1998 and 2016, and needs some TLC. However, it is solid with an engine/prop at 120 approx. hrs. The plane has flown approx. 2,100 hrs since 2008, and is constantly flying as of today. The panel is basic. It has a 430W that works, but the buttons are a little stubborn, SL30 that works flawlessly as best as I can tell, Skybeacon adsb out, and an Stec 55x that works intermittently. The stec does not have electric trim. Manual Cowl Flap. Front seat shoulder harnesses. The front windshield has a chip in it at the base of it on the inside. Remaining glass has a few scratches/crazing, but is ok. Last Altimeter check was in 2021.
I'll be happy to show this to anyone at DHN. Feel free to reach out via PM for my cell number. Thanks.

It's a solid 182 that needs some TLC.

Does it really only have 51 gallons usable? That would be really odd for that vintage.

I doubt this plane is a 56 gal plane - very rare on 1964 and newer model year Skylanes.

The fuel caps on short range fuel Skylanes were way inboard, which does not appear to be the case. The placards on the fuel selector also show 39 gal per side.

That's what I was thinking. I just got out of a partnership of a 58 182A with the small tanks. Didn't like them at all.

Zoom in on the fuel selector and it says usable fuel is 39 gallons each tank.

I've flown 67BR 14 hrs over the last 3 months. She is a great 182!

They did a LOT of work on this in September 2023 and 2022 as part of the annual. Some of those are definitely highlights. The interior looks a little rough but the plane has been maintained pretty well over the past few years. Hats off to the 3 mechanics that I see on the stickers.

There is a mention of sending the filter off for engine warranty. If the engine is under warranty, AND it could transfer somehow, that is certainly a huge plus for any buyer.

I am looking for an older 172 to put in a G3x and lease back to a flight school, otherwise, this 182 would be on the list. This would make a great plane for a club, particularly with that almost new engine!
