That has to be one of the nicest Malibu panels out there. That efficiency is insane. If my napkin math is correct, that’s 19.3 statute miles per gallon. My pickup truck is nowhere near that efficient ;-)

Right vacuum pump appears inoperative. Nice plane!

Thanks! And yes, nothing beats the efficiency of a PA46-310 - what else could do 190+TAS in FL240 at 15USG/hr?

Too bad I'm doing too much night time in low IMC...

In the PA46, he right vacuum only comes online if switched-on manually, the left one fails or the boots are cycled. Otherwise, the plane only flies with the left one online.

I think that is only in the -310? The -350 has dual pumps so both red indicators should not be visible.

That’s my understanding too, but this one is a 310, so all good

Rolf you have a beautiful airplane that shows you've loved very well, great job.

1. What is your useful load?
2. Have you by chance gotten a quote on replacing the windshield and if so could you kindly share?

Thank you in advance!
Todd

Thanks Todd!

DEURS has an exceptional useful load of 1,235 lbs.

Replacing the windshield would come at about 50k (25k for the Mirage glass windshield plus about another 25k in labor - apparently, the cabling requires quite some work).

Personally, I would not replace the windshield. As part of paint refresh and ceramic coating, I had the windows professionally polished and they are in great condition. The heat plate works perfectly. I would rather not add the extra weight of the Mirage glass windshield (though it looks nicer).

There was an STC that eliminated the manual switch on vacuum pump and both pumps ran continuously for the 310s.

Beautiful plane and wonderful panel. Totally agree on the windshield. If the clarity is good and the hot plate works leave it alone.

Today's xchange rate means roughly 522k USD. Ferry costs depend on flying it yourself or hiring a pilot (would probably add 20k for the hired pilot)

For a brief moment, hitting TAS of 200kts (only caught it at 199) - amazing performance at 65% power

I took a video on the left / right vacuum pump (above discussion). You can view the video on: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/djd8em1a ... kwxce&dl=0
