Wild! I have about 600 hours in this very aircraft. Flew it on many lucrative government contracts. As I recall, this is the first Marquise built.

I flew the second to last Marquise for about a year and put about 280 hrs on it. It's a great aircraft and extremely safe when flown right. An oddity is that it has/or had an AD on the pilot to watch a movie on icing encounters. You got a card saying the AD had been complied with that you had to have with you when you flew it.

What a cool airplane. I've always loved the look of high wing twins and this is one of the best examples.

Out of pure curiosity, what does a 'lucrative government contract' look like for this type of bird?

A fair number of Marquise served as cash haulers for the Federal Reserve. I don't know if this one did or not, but it is possible. The flying was generally at night, single pilot, and high cycle (like 6 flights per night).

The pilot started duty at 10 pm and on his 6th flight at 7:30 am, he stalled the airplane lining up for the wrong runway.
