I am posting this for a friend. They own IMP (Independent Made Plane) serial #1 built by Molt Taylor. Here is what the owner (not Molt Taylor) writes about this airplane: Quote: Molt Taylor’s (inventor of Aerocar) original 2 seat IMP serial number 1. At one point had interest from Smithsonian museum. The wings for this plane were made for Aero Car #6. Has all logs and documentation. The asking price is $600K or trade for hunting land. Very unique. PM if interested.
I don't know anything more than what is included in the above. I can put any interested parties in touch with the owner.

You can still build one: www.mini-imp.comMany years ago, I was designing a plane to win a competition. There were some design aspects of the imp that were intriguing. The gentleman who ran the above site at the time was most helpful and even provided some drawings. How much huntin land is $600K worth? Best, Tom
