I am listing this beautiful 2014 Piper Mirage for a friend of mine. I think these planes deserve a hard look by any of the Cirrus and Bonanza drivers out there. N629ST is fully loaded with all of the Piper and Garmin options. It has speed brakes, extended range fuel, and the Malibu Aerospace #5 Cooling Modification STC. I love the Bonanza but my family loves the Mirage. I have flown N629ST a decent amount and it is nice to have my wife, 1 year old, and dog, hanging out in the back in a quiet, climate controlled, 5.5psi pressurized cabin. The passengers in the back can comfortably travel without headsets or plug them in to the plane and listen to the XM tunes that they can control from a remote control in the back. Long haul trips are a breeze and I have done non-stop trips from Arizona to Canada without any drama. The wing is long and it definitely helps when you look at the glide advisor and you can see how far she will glide from FL250 in case something happens. You can tell that Piper purposely built the plane to be pressurized and it has proven to be in a class of its own.
The G1000 integration with the systems on the plane is great. The GFC700 is the nicest GA autopilot out there and it will definitely spoil you when things get busy when operating single pilot IMC. You can view charts, and arrivals while executing a full VNAV descent into the terminal area. Traffic, terrain, RADAR, XM Weather, are all seamlessly integrated into the system and you get a lot of situational awareness of what is going on. The speed brakes are nice in the Southwest so you can hang out VFR up high at 17.5K in the cooler/smooth air and then put out the brake and get some impressive descent rates without touching the power and with no change for the passengers or their ears.
We did a lot of maintenance over the last year and the plane has a good maintenance pedigree from shops like Skytech, Muncie, Tiffin Aire, and Cutter. The prop has a recent overhaul and the engine has been completely gone through. The top end has about 50 hours on it after a complete top overhaul with 6 new cylinders. The magnetos, ignition system, fuel system and turbo controllers have been gone through. 9ST has overhauled magneto’s, new ignition wires, plugs, fuel lines etc. It has the full Reiff heating system which is nice when it is cold.
The only minor damage was in 2015 when the previous owner had a bird strike on the outer right-hand wing that dented the leading edge. Instead of patching it, Skytech installed a new outer wing section and new boot. I can show the plane at my hangar in Phoenix (KGEU) or up in Flagstaff (KFLG). We can arrange worldwide delivery and there is a great insurance training outfit (Archer Aviation) that will come to my hangar in Phoenix and train you in the plane for your insurance check-out. Please reach out with questions. Check out the logs and pictures/videos in the dropbox. If I do not pick up my phone I am probably flying. please text or email and I will call ya back very shortly. Thanks.
