Hello,
I will be assisting the widow of Ray Johnson in selling N80406. It is the oldest Bonanza to survive. We hope somebody will put the effort into restoring this as we don't want to see it parted out. It has been sitting since 1970. Airframe has about 4270 hours. Aircraft is currently located in ND and will probably be best to have it picked up sooner rather than later.
Price is $15k

Hopefully someone can restore this piece of history and donate it to the Beechcraft Heritage Museum

Love the “Real Deal” Fabric Ailerons....

Needs a True Fanatic

And Forensic Documentation of its Current Originality!!

Really Great to see!

First of all, WHAT A FIND! I truly hope someone restores this old girl to her full glory. There is someone that I follow on Youtube, his page is called "Jimmys World". He has a lot of resources (money) and restores many old birds that have been sitting for years. If we can't find a Bonanza specific enthusiast who has the time and resources for this old bird, perhaps someone could contact him and see if he's interested? Just a though.

Thread drift-look at the counter weights on those ailerons-seems like quite a bit less lead even than what is on the magnesium ailerons. I wonder how light they are?

I enjoy that YouTuber, but don't think I'd trust (Jimmy's World) Jimmy with this classic after seeing him literally take saws to bonanzas and Elvis' old jet and cut them up. This requires a real classic Bonanza person.
