Latitude Aviation is proud to bring to market N581CT, which is a 1980 Cessna A185F Skywagon. N581CT is owned by a long-time BeechTalk member and is currently based in Indianapolis at MQJ. It's previous owner is a long-time BeechTalk member as well. And prior to both of these owners the aircraft lives its entire life in Canada on both wheels and skis.
N581CT has 6428 hours and 958 on a factory new IO-520-D and just 28 hours on cylinders overhauled by Bill Cunningham at Powermaster Aircraft Engines. The propeller has 1032 hours since its overhaul in 2007.
One of the best aspects of this 185 is its avionics. It has dual Garmin G5's, Garmin GFC 500 autopilot, Garmin GTN 650, Garmin GTX 345, and Garmin GNC 255A. It also has a Flight Stream 210, EDM 730, and GMA 340 audio panel. Additionally, the vacuum system was removed when the G5's were installed so this is an all-electric aircraft.
Other upgrades and equipment include GAMIjectors, LED lights, Door Stewards on both doors, and a pre-heat system. N581CT also comes with Fluidyne C3200 skis (which are in a crate and ready for shipping at the buyer's expense).
Like most older taildraggers, N581CT does have some damage history in its past. The most recent instance is from 1997 when there were repairs made to the RH wing, aileron, flap, elevator, and horizontal stabilizer. The logbook entry doesn't specify why this occurred but my guess would be a ground loop. Similar repairs were made to the LH wing and horizontal stabilizer in 1989 and in 1988 there were repairs made due to a ground loop (according to the logbooks). There are also some very light cosmetic hail dings on the top of the wings and control surfaces.
I have pasted the specs below along with a Dropbox link to the logbooks, photo gallery, 337's, and W&B form. I have also attached some photos below as well. Please call or write anytime to discuss this great example of a Cessna A185F. Thank you!
