I'm selling my Aerobatic Bonanza! I upgraded to an A36, but it will be a shame to let this one go. I have owned it since Nov of 2015 and it has been a fantastic plane. The annual was just completed in June. I have complete records.

Current hobbs is 3288.3, (1193.5 hours)
Continental Tuned Injectors
D’Shannon Cooling Air Baffles
MT 3-blade prop model #MTV-9-D (1193.5 hours since new)
Aspen EFD 1000
dual Garmin WAAS 430s
STEC 55X autopilot
JPI EDM 700
Garmin Flightstream 210
Garmin GTX 345
Thermal pane window inserts
D’Shannon speed-sloped windshield
Whelen Strobe Light
Wing-tip lens covers
Rosen sun visors
Engine block heater
Custom cover and cowl plugs
nice leather interior
nice paint with very minor issues (8-9/10)

More pix and complete logs are available upon request.

Does installing re-manufactured IO-550B take it out of aerobatic category?

I don't believe so but I'm not sure how to prove that to you.

I don't think it would take it out of aerobatic.....the STC is good for your airframe so it should be fine with no limitations.

I think it works the other way around...

Someone would need to prove to _you_ that it has. Carry on and good luck with the sale is what I'd say. Nice looking bird.

The 550 is STC’d for the F33C and doesn’t involve removing the aerobatic category from the TCDS.

Same with the MT propeller.

IDK either way. I’m not in the market so nothing more than curiosity.

Makes sense that the STC would cover that officially.

FWIW, the FAA thinks its in the Normal Category.

Does anyone know how I would go about getting the FAA record corrected? It also has the previous engine. Thanks.

The FAA website isn't definitive here—I believe this is an artifact of whatever process the FAA used when Woody imported them. A few other F33Cs show the same.

Mike, beautiful airplane. Probably a little late now, but we have an email list for the aerobatic owners: 33C+subscribe@groups.io . I sent this out last week when I spotted it on Controller!

Beautiful plane and gorgeous interior. Hope you get your price.

BTW, I thought they were all aerobatic? ;)

Just like all planes can land on water . . . once.
