If you have never seen the work out of Mr. Blackwell's shop, it is something to behold.

450 sounds cheap to me.

I bought my V35 in ‘82. That was five engines, two paint jobs, two panels and 4500 hours ago. I recently completed a six year makeover: new interior, paint, glass, panel, re-plumb the TKS, gear rebuild/motor overhaul and engine overhaul- this airplane is better than new. The price tag (that I already own) exceeds $450k. The remake took six years. This is a bargain: An S35 that is like new.

I'm getting itchy to start painting it. This was my inspiration for the color and glareshield. Astro Blue overall with gloss black SS stripe style glareshield and one stripe on each stabilizer and ruddervator. I spray painted some on the nose before we stripped it just to see what it would look like. Then gloss black around the side windows like the original S35 scheme. The N-number is the Chevrolet SS badge font, I was thinking the "N" and "SS" in white, and "409" in orange, with a silver border and drop shadow. And yes I know the 409 was never used in a Chevelle, but N396SS, N427SS, and N454SS were all being used! I was planning on painting the engine case and cylinders Chevy engine orange, cylinder heads silver, and chroming the valve covers. And a white leather interior with a dark woodgrain instrument panel.

If you can put a 330 HP 454 motor in that....you might have something. :peace:

It is fun to play around with Bonanza paint schemes, I've designed a few of them. But it's still hard to beat that navy & white S you posted.
