Latitude Aviation is proud to bring to market N3702Q, which is a 1967 Beechcraft V35 Bonanza. N3702Q is owned by a BeechTalk member and is based near Portland, OR at Grove Field Airport (1M) in Camas, WA.

The first thing that will jump out at you with N3702Q is the absolutely stunning and gorgeous paint job. N3702Q was painted by Don Copeland at Arizona Aeropainting in June 2020. The paint job is flawless and striking. Inside the plane is a very nice tan leather interior which was updated in 2013.

The engine is an IO-550 with 65 hours since major overhaul and the propeller is a Hartzell Scimitar that was overhauled at the same time. With the light airframe of a V35 the 550 makes the plane a screamer.

The useful load is an incredibly respectful 1208 pounds and even better, the empty CG is 78.30" which is an outstanding CG for a short body Bonanza.

The panel is updated and has 2 Garmin G5's, an Avidyne IFD 540, KX 155, STEC 60-2 autopilot, yaw damper, GTX 330ES, and 406mhz ELT. The vacuum system was removed at the time of the G5 installation and the panel itself is a customer SRS Aviation panel that is powder-coated and silk-screened.

Other upgrades include D'Shannon tip tanks, D'Shannon engine baffles, aileron/flap gap seals, GAMIjectors, LED lights, and a Mountain View Aviation Door Steward.

N3702Q is an outstanding example of a v-tail Bonanza and is turn-key and ready to go. Below are detailed specs with a Dropbox link that will take you to the photo gallery, logbooks, FAA records, and W&B form. I have also pasted some pictures as well. Please email or call anytime to discuss N3702Q. Thank you!

Very nice plane.

Two questions:

1. Is the GPSS feature enabled through the EHSI?

2. Does the ADI provides a FD feature for all modes of the STEC 60-2?.

thanks!
Joe

Hi Joe,

According to the owner, yes the GPSS function is through the G5/GAD 29B. This is confirmed from this blog article by Garmin's: https://www.garmin.com/en-US/blog/aviat ... -expanded/

I do not believe that the G5 ADI has flight director functionality but am checking for you.

Thanks Neal,

Very helpful. I don't know if the G5 has this feature, I was just looking at the photos and it looks like there are some command bars present.

I believe that the G5 does have the capability to display flight director command bars but only with a GFC 500 autopilot. Someone else may be able to correct me if I am wrong as I don't have a ton of operational experience with the G5.

That is the exact the same set up I have in my V35A. No FD command bars, just GP ind. on the EADI and CDI on the EHSI.

I owned this plane for about 8 yrs, I miss it every day. The new owner has taken it to an unbelievable level. I only wish I could purchase it from him. Best of luck with the sale! The new owner will be a very lucky person!!

Rusty,
You did a magnificent job on the upgrade. It looks spectacular! I would love to go for a ride in its current condition.

You should adjust the ad as it is a 66 not. 67.

Thanks for the eye candy GLWS although I am sure you will hate to see it go.

Dave

Hi Dave,

Believe it or not, N3702Q is actually a 1967 model year by serial number. I have attached page 15 of the Beechcraft Serialization List which shows the various serial number ranges for the 1966 V35 model year as well as the 1967 V35 model year. D-8363 falls in the 1967 model year. That said, the aircraft's original FAA airworthiness certificate was issued on 12/12/66 (which is why the FAA registration branch's website shows it as a 1966) and the first FAA bill of sale was filed on 1/3/67. But regardless of when the FAA airworthiness certificate was issued and when the plane was first sold, it is still a 1967 model year. This is akin to buying the newest and latest/greatest 2023 Honda Accord in November of 2022. Yes, the car was manufactured in 2022 but it has all of the features of the 2023 as it is part of the 2023 model year.

This is still going on today at Beechcraft and other manufacturers. I picked up one of the first post-bankruptcy G36's at the factory back in 12/2012. But it was a 2013 by serial number and had the FTA air conditioning system, new style Millennium interior, and LSI LED package, etc. When my client bought the plane new from Beechcraft he was buying a 2013 G36 - it just so happened that it rolled off the factory assembly line and was given and FAA airworthiness certificate in 12/2022.
