I would like to thank Chris for the nice items about my 56TC. One of the questions Storage of Engines. The engines were stored per Lycoming Service instructions SL#L180B. It instructs how to do and what oil{very expensive oil}to use.

I’ve taken three different calls on this airplane and it prompted me to call John and bend his ear about having a fresh annual done on the airplane so his instructor could take anyone that was interested in it flying. I’m happy to talk to anyone about the airplane in general but I am in no means selling it or brokering any sale.

My last comment on engines. Both engines have pre-oilers. The engines were never started until pre-oiler had pressure up to 50 lbs.

Is the pre-oiler an STC kit? Is it electric powered?

My father-in-law had a 56TC. It’s one rare bird. It was stolen!

I have an uncle that still has his Grumman Cougar GA-7, another extremely rare twin engine bird (I think 107 total).

yes pre oileris approved. probably the first one.If you want paperwork. Have it all. Nothing on this plane was installed without STC or field approve. Probably cost a lot of time but done right.

Pre oilers installed: Oilamatic preoiler. installed in accordance with manufactures installation manual. work done 7/28/1993
