That's a lot of $$$$. It seems a little short of range without tip tanks especially if you're not LOP.

Cruising a WW-III Turbonormalized Bonanza other than LoP would be nutty. Without tips, you'll get about 3 1/2 hours of cruise, plus reserve. I'd add tips if it were my plane, but otherwise this is a pretty awesome V35B! There's something about being able to put TKS on a Bonanza with tips already installed, but not being able to put tip tanks on a Bonanza with TKS... or vice-versa...?

Something about the way the STCs are written. Worth checking for anyone who's serious about this plane. It will run like a scalded cat!

Depends on the user. It would be a very nice plane for the flying I do - I don't like trips above 3 hours anyway. The TN is great for speed, weather and terrain. If I hadn't recently bought a B55, I'd think about this one.

This. My old WW3 TN bird had the 15 gallon BDS tips. That was good for about 4:15-4:30 with an hour reserve. If we had somewhere to be that we wanted to cover in one leg, it worked. But that's a long leg, typically on O2, and if we weren't trying to get somewhere, we would rather break it up.

One year I flew to OSH (stayed in GRB). Two legs from South Florida, about 8:30 of hard fly, and I was totally whupped when I got there. On the way back, I broke it up into three legs, and felt much better.

Best,
Rich

AFaIK you can have tip tanks with TKS but they eliminate the possibility of Known Ice certification. Since there's no alcohol going to the tanks you'd pick up ice there but I think it would take some pretty serious icing conditions for that to matter much other than some loss of airspeed.
