Totally agree. This is what I’d buy if I didn’t already own mine. Of course I spent 3 years getting mine completely upgraded (1 year just in the avionics shop….terrible experience). Somebody is going to get luckier than they deserve to be

If I could marry it and have little B55 babies, I'd be in heaven.

No sir, I just use a portable bottle. The built-in bottle takes up a good bit of the nose baggage area. I only use it about twice per year anyway. My panel took about 2.5 months at Freedom Aviation in Lynchburg, VA. He cut the panel on site. Username Protected wrote: Alan, Is there O2 built in? I remember flying in a similar Colemill 55, doing single-engine work and climbing at close to 1,000 feet per minute.

Breaking in new engines at 3,500 AGL , IAS was 192 KTS and TAS at 3500 was 205KTS.
ROC was 3,000 FPM INITIALLY. I may sell it in the near future. What were your power settings? Typically, during engine break in power settings are quite a bit higher than normal cruise power. Have you established what the TAS is at normal cruise power settings at 7,000 or 8,000'? I'm curious how that compares to the 3 IO470 Baron's I have owned.

With the old high time engines, max cruise at 7500 was 210 KTS in the winter, a little less when it’s warm. With the new engines it should be more, I am not there yet.
With the old engines I could cruise 198 to 202 depending on weight and temp at 12,500. With 12 GPH PER SIDE ROP. New engines should increase those numbers.
After the engines are broken in I will have more data and pictures. Also this is a clean wing with VG’S and a light weight airframe.

The P2’s aren’t significantly faster than the 470’s down low but up high they’ll hold speed well. We have a “slow” P2 and still true 190ktas at 13k and 180ktas up at 17k. Also climb performance is impressive even at gross weight.

With old engines and the right one shut down at 10,500. With the old panel. Last picture at 12,500 with high time engines.] After breaking the engines in I will get new data at 12,500
