I need to stop looking at this listing. Definitely an interesting aircraft for a family of five (knowing that taking the whole family is unlikely to ever occur)…

I wish you were closer to the SE USA!

Can you expand on your thought process here: "Other things I wanted to do on this plane was ... upgrade flitecraft turbo to tornado alley whirlwind III rammer "

I have no prejudices. Being so close to sealevel I haven't had much experience with anything other than NA. I'm familiar with TN mechanistically but not brand details.

The upgrade cost about $9000 and will give better climb and takeoff performance with the addition of the ram air and larger intercooler. As for the exhaust clamp I check it before every flight by grabbing it and visually inspecting the clamp. It was also replaced a year ago.

I also live at sea level but the benefit with the turbo is higher cruise speeds above 6000 ft. I tend to cruise around 11-12,000 getting 180Kts true airspeed. Without the little kids on board and with oxygen you can get to 200Kts.

Me and my guys are still interested, we’re just moving very slowly. Partnering up to buy an airplane is like getting married: you really want to spend a lot of time making sure you're compatible with each other before committing.
