I'm helping my brother sell his 1958 Piper PA-22 Tri Pacer Project Plane

The last annual was completed on September 7,2017. Last flown in October, 2017. Total airframe hours are 4658.

The engine is Lycoming O-320-A2B Aeroduct engine that is rated at 150 HP. Time SMOH is 540.44 hours. The engine does have a broken thru stud.

The propeller is a Sensenich - Propeller Model M74DM 74” prop with approximately 2100 hours since reconditioning.

The plane has drooped wing tips installed. The plane will need to be totally recovered in order to be airworthy. New uncovered rudder and elevator included with purchase.

The airplane is currently being stored in a hangar with the wings removed and engine removed.

The logbooks are complete for the airframe, engine and propeller.

The plane is available for inspection at St Charles airport (KSET).

Asking $16,500 or best offer.

Please contact Michael at 314-800-7517 for additional information.

I had a 1957 model with 150 hp. It's a very capable airplane.

Seems like a good candidate to convert to a PA-22/20. A Pacer with a tailwheel looks mighty cool.

My first plane was the Pacer's little brother - the Colt. They are fun planes. Easy to work on and parts are easy to find.

Good luck.

Can confirm. It's amazing what relocating the little wheel does for the aesthetics of the flying milkstool.

Also much faster once they lose the nose wheel

Also can confirm, anecdotally of course . My 135 hp Pacer has the same (or at least very similar) cruise as my friend's 160 hp nosedragger. His Vx climb wins by a long shot though.
