Post the current maintenance status sheet.

More pics.

I found it on this site, and it looks to me like in the photos it’s last inspection on the engines was 2016, is that correct?

Here’s the listing. It’s also listed there at $350k, what was repaired in the last maintenance visit?

"Just left Textron" implies recent inspections at the factory service center. This would be indicated on the maintenance status sheet which needs to be posted if this is a serious sale.

The engines at just under 7000 hours would suggest very close to 2nd overhaul. Engines are 3500 TBO.

The TDR-90 transponders suggest no ADS-B capability.

All the info is obscured as to serial number or registration.

No potential buyer will proceed without the above questions answered.

In 1988, Beech built 19 400s, serial RJ-35 to RJ-53, so not many to search over, so I think it is N88UA, SN RJ-49:
Attachment:
n88ua-photo.png

Has the Razorback logo on the tail, which fits with the University of Arkansas history. I think they sold it in 2104 based on the registration history. Last registration is fresh, Aug 27, 2021 (sale would have been earlier due to FAA registry delays).

N88UA is flying regularly (today even) and has ADS-B out as one would expect.

Registered to:

PD II LLC
2200 BARNHARDT AVE NW
CONCORD, NC 28027-8302

Flightaware suggests it is based at KJQF, Concord, NC.

If I could get a Beech 400 to be legal for a single pilot, I'd be all over one, very nice airplanes that are well built.

Mike, I guess my question was poorly worded. The picture here is from that sales ad that I linked, and maybe I’m reading it incorrectly due to my own inexperience. But it’s got a date of 2016 next to the engine numbers that match with the sales ad, but the rest also appear to either be due or last performed on the dates shown, which to me indicates inspections due either way. Like you said, if you could SP this plane it would be a hell of a way to travel for less than acquisition costs of an A36.

That ad is out of date and I suspect is from 5 years ago and not actually representing the plane as being for sale now.

Here's a link to it being sold at auction in 2019:

https://www.rbauction.com/blog/5-of-the ... ld-in-2019

Video preview:

It says it sold for $8600! I would have paid that for the parts in the engines even if they were runout. Somebody seems to have put it back in service, flying right now in fact.

My Citation V is pretty good, not as fast, but longer range. The main thing is I can fly it by myself, which I can't do with the Beech 400, alas.

I don’t think this is a real plane for sale. But it lighted some ideas with my wife learning to fly. I love these planes.

Just dealt with the sale of a much newer model that had been sitting a few years. ADS-B with WAAS is 140K, those engines are just about done with no reserves or engine program, that will set ya back 800K? The planes are great, everything is on time not calendar but as stated they are 2 crew aircraft. I think I saw a company redoing these and making them SP.

Nextant said they would be going for SP, didn't come about.

Another killer contender for SP would be the IAI Westwinds. Simple aircraft, pretty economical and with almost no calendar items.

Having time in a Westward, it's a two pilot aircraft. SIC has to hold the gear warning horn button every time you pull the thrust back. Like any jet, things are easy when everything goes right... not so much when %#$@ hits the fan. I would want an SIC on a Westwind.
