Latitude Aviation is proud to bring to market N2YC, which is a 1974 Beechcraft 58 Baron. N2YC is owned by a BeechTalk member and is based in Dallas, TX at HQZ.

N2YC has 7874 total hours but only 455 and 282 hours on the engines. The props have 1706 and 282 hours since overhaul respectively.

Its avionics are very nice with its dual Garmin G5's, an Avidyne IFD 440, Century IV autopilot (with GPSS), KT 74 ADS-B Out transponder, RDR 160 radar, PMA 8000BT audio panel, and EDM 790 engine monitor.

N2YC has deice boots, alcohol propellers, and an alcohol windshield system. It also has GAMIjectors and a dual yoke.

Cosmetically, both the paint and interior were redone in 2004. They both show as expected for their age with normal paint chipping and wear on the interior.

The airplane has had a few landing gear incidents in its past - a nose gear collapse in 1987, gear up landing in 1991, and an inadvertent gear retraction on the runway in 1996. It also has had the wing spar carry through structure doubler kit installed on the front spar web area.

In my opinion, N2YC represents an excellent 58 Baron value given its low engine time and good avionics. Detailed specs are below along with Dropbox links to the logbooks and photo gallery. Please email or call anytime to discuss N2YC. Thank you!

What am I missing with this one? I am working on my multi and planning to upgrade to a Barron in the next few years - this one seems like exactly what I'd be looking for. Is the damage history scaring people away or is it overpriced? It seems fair to me given everything - would be high on my list if I was ready to make a deal today.

N2YC is back on the market. The owner removed it a year ago as he had second thoughts about selling at the time and has since put 98 hours on it. I have updated the ad/spec sheet accordingly. This is a lot of airplane (deice boots, good panel, and low time engines) for the price in my opinion.
