I’ve had a lot of fun with N9478S. It’s taken the wife and I to some great places. This airplane was thought out by a lifelong Bonanza owner. This is a high altitude go some where airplane. It’ll run LOP or ROP…I prefer ROP to get the additional speed. I typically see 185KTS-190KTS TAS around FL180-FL190.
My mission is changing and will be in the market for something else pretty soon. Please let me know if you have any questions. I’ve had this airplane all over the Country and the dispatch reliability is 100%

That knob is to open and close the Cheek Flaps. It provides additional cooling

Cutter Aviation handled the repairs in...1973.

I do not know for sure...I think it was Beechcraft Wichita. I'll have to dig through the logs and take a look.

32.5"MP all the way up thru 16,000-17,000ft .....it's a rocket.

Very detailed ad … thank you.

1. Any ruddervator reskinning or corrosion treatment during your ownership?

2. Any major gear maintenance during your tenure?

3. Has it participated in any ABS Clinic inspections recently?

Thank you!

Thank you all for the interest. So far I've got 3 people headed in next week to look at it and one wants to schedule a pre-buy! Here are a few of the questions answered.

The airplane will pull 32.5" up to about 17,000'-18,000'. Then it will fall off slightly. I see around 30" in the low 20's

The airplane has lived it the Midwest it's whole life. There are no obvious records of the ruddervators being reskinned. They are 100% corrosion free. You will usually see corrosion on ruddervators in "salt air" areas, airplanes not kept in a hangar and paint not cared for. That's not the case for N9478S.

The major maintenance done in 2018 was during the last owners ownership. He is a great friend. All the work was meticulously performed at Silverhawk Aviation in Lincoln, NE..a Beech Service Center (Textron now). The engine overhauled by Central Cylinder in Omaha, NE. I'd put there engines up against anyone's...including the factory.

I own Omaha Airplane Supply and all the parts came from us...including custom hoses. We sell only the highest quality parts to our customers and this airplane received the same treatment.

I wasn't able to find any major gear maintenance recently. Looks like a relay in 2018 and the gear motor in 2004.

I'm not aware of the airplane participating in an ABS Maintenance Clinic.

In 1973...almost 50 years ago the airplane departed the runway on landing rollout. The NTSB talks about the wings collapsing. However, the log entry and the parts list does not reflect that. It would appear that both main gear collapsed in to the wings. The airplane has gone trough 47 annual inspections since then...not issues.

"If" both wings buckled in the "Soft Sand" more than the "Left Wingtip" would have been damaged. You have to kinda use some common sense.

I posted the NTSB Report because there is nothing to hide. It's public information and I'm not afraid to share this info from an event about 50 year ago.

I posted these links for the convenience of people who are interested. For those of you who want to troll through and nit pick the airplane (the paint isn't my favorite color, where is this log entry, why Goodyear Flight Custom III and not Flight Special II, oh its a single yoke....you know those kinds of comments) please keep your thoughts to yourself. I'm not being a jerk...but get tired of all the "experts" and "Tire Kickers" on BT. BT is an AMAZING resource. Myself and others who are in the aircraft sales business have historically avoided BT for the reasons above. Lets keep BT a classy place.

This is a gorgeous plane. If (when) I decide the Tiger isn't cutting it, I'm gonna be looking for something like this.

Just for curiosity's sake, what kinda TAS do you see with this beauty?
