Hi everyone,

Spring City Aviation is representing a very cool 1958 182A, which is corporate pilot owned and has been used as a toy/transportation to the cabin up North. A move of primary residence motivates the sale. To set up a showing, contact me via email: gavin at springcityaviation dot com, or my cell: 218-280-2615.

This is preliminary information, and I will follow up soon with scanned logbooks and more detail, but as per usual I thought I would post it here before the advertisements go out.

Offered at: $70,000

1958 Cessna 182A, N182GP
Total Time: Approx. 2,900 Hours
Since Major Overhaul: Approx. 300 hours
Annual due: May 2020
Useful Load: 818 pounds

Note: This airplane's logbooks are missing prior to 1989, but the logs since 1989 are consecutive and correct, and compliance with all inspections and ADs are documented. These factors have been considered by the seller when selecting an asking price.

Airglas fork and 8.5’s all around are the perfect tire setup and size. Good balance in non paved ability and speed.

And they look good.

Love the older narrow 182s.

1959 Model would be a 182B with cowl flaps.

1957 and 1958 were 182A models.

Looks super fun. I did a quick google but couldn't find info on the Stol kit performance numbers. Can you you share that info?

Incredible value. That airplane will go into 95% of the places that a Cub costing more than four times as much, and with a much faster cross-country capability and range. Plus, it will haul your family and all the camping stuff to keep you cozy and well-fed.
As it is, it will humble many taildraggers on short, unimproved airstrips. One can come in with full flaps, stall warning blaring, in full control, and plant the mains on whatever surface is chosen. A quick cleanup of the Johnson bar flaps, and the flying part is done. The early ones have a "gravitas" about them, as well as that "honest airplane smell" of the interior.
If I didn't have my cherished 180, it would be your 182
Best,

TN
