Hi, I'm selling this aircraft for a my past partner's widow. It has had 2 annuals with no flying time and is past due annual now. I have flown it sometime ago when I was checking out with my partner. This is a nice solid flying plane and needs a new owner and some TLC. Aircraft is located KLRU.

Baron 95-A55 TC-414 1963

For aircraft age she is in fairly good condition. Glass is mostly good up front with some hazing/ crazing in the rear windows. Tires are in good shape, rubber is clean and supple. Paint is in good shape with no apparent oxidation except between left engine and fuselage. The tail has some hail damage but you have to be looking for it to see it. Interior is cloth and in good shape with no rips, tears or snags.

It has been flown 225.1 hrs since 3/1/2008.
77.761 hrs since 6/1/2013
15.8 hrs since 4/1/2017, the previous 2 annuals.

Last flown prior to Oct 2017, I have run the engines and taxied several times since then to keep her exercised.

L & R main tank bladders replaced 6/7/2013
L aux tank bladder replaced 4/1/2017

Engine compressions/overhauls:

L 1)76/80 2)76/80 3)70/80 4)73/80 5)74/80 6)75/80 /@1298.1 SMOH 01/11/89

I assume this has 5 seats, right?
What’s required to add the 6th? Is it possible?
How about the baggage section behind the last row of seats that many B models have?

The A55 Baron never had the extended rear baggage compartment option. I do not know of any Beech kit or STC to make the modification without a field approval.

Nice looking plane Jim. I’m not looking for a Baron, but hopefully someone will bite.

Are you from Las Cruces? I live in East Texas now, but grew up in Las Cruces. Small world. The green chile, the Organ mountains, the Valley, the desert ... lots of fond memories there. Good luck with the sale.

Jeremy

Also, IIRC, the A55 had a GW of 4,800#

Which may have contributed to the engineers leaving out the extended baggage and 6th seat

Sorry for no responses, been away on family business and computer broke down before I left.

This is a 4 seater. 5th or 6th seat can be added via 337 I am told. One of my hangar tenants has an interior shop and services most of the Southwest plus some. This plane does not have extended baggage area, not sure if that can or cannot be accomplished via 337.

For Jeremy if you check back in: Yes, we have the Best Green Chile in the world, red chile too. The Organ Mountains are spectacular especially in the evenings when the sun is going down, viewed from the air port.

New Price $54,500. If you purchase at this price I will throw in a Lug Bug aircraft tug.

To address some prior discussions, I have uploaded several pages from the POH. Seats can be added as the mounts are already there- see photos. One photo shows the the extension beyond the back wall. Referring to the POH you might be able to put 120# of hats, gold bullion or maybe cannon balls !!! I will leave the math and baggage selections up to you guys.

Looks like a pretty bird. When did it get the three bladed props and does it still have iO-470s?

The Macauley props were installed 8/88. The engines are IO-470L.

I owned TC 381. Gross is 4880. This aircraft has the brackets for the 6 seat bench in rear. Just like mine which had the bench. The seat back fastens under the angle at front of hat shelf to hold it up. It hangs there. Lower seat can be hinged up and put under rear cushion or removed with the 2 hinge pins on the floor brackets for hauling cargo in rear. 5100 gross is only a Paperwork change done on the B55 that had 5000 gross. Beech didn’t change the straight 55 or the A55 These don’t need extended baggage except for length or light bulky cargo. If rear 5-6 passengers are carried weights and baggage need put in nose baggage. One plus is CG moves forward as aux fuel is used. These planes are fast and light.
