Thanks to everyone. Wild ride the last few weeks. One gentleman wanted to trade her for mining investments or gold. I probably should have taken that deal! :D

Times are changing.

Read the initial postings for all times, equipment etc. But this is a fully ADS-B'd aircraft with brand new radar and a good panel, ready to fly in the system.

So, what has happened since last time? Plane has been at service center AeroAir all this time and work has been done all along, but at a pretty slow pace. We've repaired the fuel tanks, they no longer leak. All other smaller stuff has been done. Finalizing cabin leaks as we speak. Plane is flyable and ferryable.

What remains to do:

1. Exchange boots on MW. Estimate for this was $12K

2. We had a disagreement about the cycle times on the 3rd stage wheel on L engine. They say it's about 100 cycles over, my calculations showed it was about 150 cycles left. But I have no option but to go with their head mechanics interpretation, so this is something you probably have to contend with, either there or somewhere else. Estimates for used 3rd stage wheel is about $2-4K for wheels with another 1000-2000 cycles (Hancock Enterprises in TN). Taking engine off, replacing with used wheel, probably welding burner can (very common that there are cracks), replacing end bearing, estimate was $12-15K.

3. Prop inspection. The props are almost new, so do not overhaul them and grind them down and spend money on that, but they will try to make you do that. Stand your ground, the overhaul is just a Hartzell recommend and an SB, so strictly you don't have to do that part 91 But maybe a good idea after 6 years. An inspection will be about $8K and they will pass.

4. Interior behind pilots seats are still down here with me in SoCal at the upholstery shop, but I will collect this and ship it to buyer at sale. Or you can finish the interior remake here at upholstery shop, if you so wish. $5K to finish?

This is a great plane with almost no calendar items. That makes it cheap to own. You can probably not run a turbine any cheaper than this. This is a $550/hr plane if you're a little pro-active on parts.

I'm asking $150K firm for hopefully good interest. I'll consider taking a Cessna 150 or 172 in as a partial (or anything else that might be fun), but probably not in excess of $20K in value.

For less than $200K this is a flying, all weather turbine with a new panel. I've spent in excess of $350K on this plane, so it's a lot of value. Plane can be ferried by me with a ferry permit to your location and can be inspected at AeroAir in Hillsboro, OR. I will only use an escrow service for the safety of both parties. Can be one of your choice or AirTitle that I've used many times before.

PM me for any other info or phone number.

Hang in there Adam. I followed your original thread on this plane, don't let it go. A lot of people are going to be in the same position for a while.

If you were in NJ I would partner in it, maybe advertise for a partner near you.

Any rich bt'ers want to put a fund together to bridge loan on airplanes 50% Loan to value?

Best wishes to you and your plane's future. Sure hope things happen fast so you might be able to keep this. So glad I got to meet you and your plane in KC.

Funny how your brain goes sometimes. Last year I had crazy unrealistic Mike Patey-kinda idea (when I was really sick of how long it had taken, and how much money I have had to spend mainly for useless bureaucracy):

Ferry her back. Do a mold from her. Do an exact experimental carbon fibre copy in carbon composite. Same exact dimension, wings, wing form etc. Use the the elevators, the ailerons, the glass, landing gear, engines, props, but everything else is new carbon fibre sandwich construction. Looked at other builds and it seems like a well designed CC plane often saves about 40% of weight compared to a metal one. That would add a lot of speed and range. And I could improve all the little niggly things that irritate me on aircraft. And do all my own maintenance on it.

Told you it was unrealistic (unless your last name is Patey). But still fun thought experiment.

Wouldn't it be a much easier sell if you got these items fixed first? Then you could sell it as a turn-key low end turboprop.

Sure it would be. I just don't have $50K right now.

I'll be watching this closely. A month ago I'd have been coming out to see this bird in a heartbeat. Situation for a pro pilot just got a lot more... interesting. Fingers crossed this all blows over and I still have a good paying job.
