That looks like a very nice B55. Should be at the top of the list for B55 Baron shoppers with a budget under $100k. Good luck for a quick and hassle-free sale.

A Baron for the price of a Debonair. I can't understand the Baron Market. I could when fuel price was an unknown issue issue. What do I not understand? Ok- engines a bit on high time side. Avionics adequate yet not state of the art. Otherwise a nice high performance twin. Why are Barons so darn cheap? I paid a premium when I bought mine.

I feel the same way. Paid over $100k for my (then) low time B55 in 2006. Laughable in today’s market. Probably couldn’t get $40k for it right now.

But.

I did some figuring when I hit my 10th Anniversary of ownership last year. 1,100 hours, 25,000-plus gallons of avgas, annuals, insurance, hangar, new paint, new interior, avionics upgrades here and there etc. I’m all in for less than $400k. Or, put another way, I’ve had a ball for 10 years flying a Baron all over the country (and fixing it up and maintaining it along the way) for less than what a lot of what people are selling newer A36’s and B58s for on here. And I’m not even halfway toward the cost of a new Beech piston product...not to mention Cirrus or Cessna products.

Barons are a blast and they are a steal right now. Buy ‘em and fly ‘em!
