Negative on the extended baggage. That is a nice upgrade, can be done for about 2AMUs if I recall correctly. I can get some interior pictures later this week hopefully. It's currently in the shop getting prop seals replaced and 2 cylinders replaced.

Let me know if you have more questions!

All, as an owner of a plane like this, it ain't like no other. See notes about 180 ktas at 10K.

I'm guessing he's missing the best part, UL?

One comment, I think that the extended baggage is about $5k, but well worth it and you can always "extend" your baggage the way I do and drop one seat. Makes for very nice "baggage" area. We don't put a lot in my extended baggage area, but usually pile it next to the 5th seat. Kids sleep on it (imagine leaning over), its accessible, etc.

Thanks Brock, I'd neglected that. Edited / updated to include useful load of 1327 lbs, with a CG of 76.5. What this translates into is that you can really load quite a bit of cargo and fuel and still be inside the envelope. I usually depart with mains at the slots, and full tips, and that gives me close to 5 1/2 hours of range (including reserves).

Hi Tim

TN (TurboNormalizing) yields full sea level power up to 21,000', as compared to a normally aspirated Bonanza. Performance difference is that you will see 750 to 1000 FPM climbs all the way up to 21,000' (the limit of the STC). With cruise TAS of >200kts.

Matt

I wouldn't downsize if I was you. I would just fly that beast with 2 aboard.

^^ agreed. I wouldn't expect the NA 33/35 to be measurably less to run than your current bird (beautiful, by the way), especially if run at 12-13gph. But, it could make sense to downsize if the goal is freeing up capital.

We fly our A36 with just two seats in the airplane about 80% of the time.

Matthew...do you have any short cabin bonanza time?

I asked the wife just this week about selling the A36, getting our c33 airworthy, and pocketing some capital..and flying slightly cheaper.
Our four bubbas, hunting dog, guns, and gear mission has slowly changed.

Her response surprised me...no she liked the faster A36..., and she likes the big cabin to carry big "stuff".

I agree with Leldon. I upgraded from a -35M. Its a short body. It was just about expensive to run, some systems on my A36 (TKS) and catchup have made this more expensive, but the only reason to sell would be to free up capital. It essentially costs the same, you could even run it slower and make it cost just the same.

Anyone in San Antonio, Texas area want to go in half with me?

She really is a dream machine!

I currently have a great V35 but with the opposite problem of Matt with two growing girls (ages 9,11). Plus, I have fallen heavily for visiting the mountains in New Mexico and Colorado to escape the heat here.

Hangared in Bulverde (1T8).
