Latitude Aviation is proud to list N9NS, which is a beautiful 1980 58P Baron that is owned by a BeechTalk member. N9NS is located in Hammond, LA which is a short 45 minute drive from New Orleans International Airport. This is a really nice low total time 58P that has no known damage history and a great maintenance pedigree with many well known Beechcraft shops performing its maintenance over the years.

The panel is highly-upgraded with a G600 (w/SVT), 530W, 430W, CIV autopilot (w/GPSS), GDL 69A for XM, GTX 330 transponder (w/TIS traffic), and a PMA 450A audio panel.

The cosmetics of N9NS are in great shape. The paint was redone in 1993 but still shows really nicely and has a nice shine to it (and of course has some nicks and spots from flying in the rain and clouds over 24 years). The interior was redone in 1993 but the seats were recovered in 2016 with tan leather and it still smells new.

N9NS is FIKI and also has air conditioning, vortex generators, turboGAMI's, LED lights, co-pilot brakes, a dual yoke, and much more.

As I said above, the shops who have worked on the plane are well known specialists in the Beechcraft world. The most recent annual was done by a very thorough shop in Dallas as well. Additionally, all of the fuel cells were replaced last year at a significant expense which is great for the next owner.

There is no on-board active radar although the plane does have XM via the GDL 69A datalink receiver. Additionally, the hot plate is in working condition but does show some light crazing on the right side (and there is a picture that shows this).

The owner is also willing to evaluate a trade (plus cash if necessary) for an IFR capable Cessna 182. The specs are below along with links to the logbooks and photo gallery. I can also email the FAA records upon email request. Please email or call anytime to discuss this awesome 58P Baron!

Folks, I've seen this Baron, and it is really a super aircraft. Anyone in the market for a 58P should seriously consider it. A wonderful airplane whose pressurization and air conditioning makes the owner's spouse a very happy traveller.

I have to add these. I took N9NS to Houston yesterday as part of Operation Airdrop. Loaded it up with diapers, etc.

Man, what a pleasure to have airconditioned comfort when it's hot as blazes! Just loafing along at 14,000 on the way over -- 192 TAS, at 30 inches and 2300 RPM (ROP). A little headwind, but not a big deal.

I'm interested. Was about to buy a B36TC last week but decided that a Baron meets my mission profile better. I need to fly in one though. No airports where I live in DFW have a baron I can go up in. I need to see if there is someone on BeechTalk in my area that I can pay to take me up.

It's the time of year when ice seems to be a factor with many/most flights. This is a great plane for that -- FIKI and able to fly above the ice in many situations.

Just a head's up. In about a week, it comes off the market and I'll fly it through the winter.

If interested, call Neal.

I was under the impression that a baron had to have boots between the engines and the fuselage to be FIKI. Am I misinformed?

Yes and no. The 58P is FIKI without the boots inside of the nacelle but the straight 58 requires boots inside of the nacelle in order to be FIKI (and a hot plate instead of an alcohol windshield).

There is also no requirement to replace the air pumps at 600 hours to maintain FIKI certification as on some other Barons. Now, I am not saying that is not a good idea, just not a requirement. At 500 hours most are getting pretty long in the tooth and owe you no money. :D
