This airplane has been "for sale" going on 4 years and has 12 pages of comments.

Shouldn't this thread be moved to one of the discussion threads as obviously for whatever reason, the OP isn't very motivated to sell it? Nice plane, don't get me wrong, but looking at the forum guidelines it might fall under being a bit "too positive".

viewtopic.php?f=43&t=99641

P.S. I sold my plane here, an old 1965 Aztec within 2 weeks of posting it so this forum does work.

I believe that the only reason this plane has not sold is the concern over the experimental category.

The plane is priced fairly.

To be crystal clear, I was not commenting on price. I was commenting on the fact the "For Sale" section should be used for items that someone wants to sell and not a blog.

That's of course subjective but many physical airport bulletin boards date their ad's and remove them after a period of time. That might be appropriate here. One can always repost that ad. Over on the twin section, we have a number of owners gushing over their planes, some of the threads years old and dozens of pages. But that is the point of the thread.

My point being this section is to sell airplanes and it works quite well for that with propertly motivated buyers and sellers.

I have spoken to the seller. He seems to want to sell to me.

Then I look forward to the title having SOLD added to it per the sections guidelines

Congratulations on your purchase and I hope the closing goes well. I've used the AOPA recommended escrow agency on a number of my sales and purchases of aircraft.

BTW, my comment was more orientated to admins. This particular "for sale" ad had over 68.000 views, that's more then the forums highest viewed announcement. Clearly most of the interest isn't buyers. But that's moot now. Enjoy the aircraft.

Jeff K:

I did not say that I bought the plane and you know that.

I said that he seemed to want to sell to me when I spoke with him. The only reason that I did not buy the plane was the uncertainty about the experiential certificate.

Your assertion that the seller does not want to sell is both incorrect and uninformed.

The seller is an airline pilot and is very professional. This is a nice guy trying to sell a very special plane.

If you are not interested in the plane and have no knowledge about the plane to add, why are you following the thread?

If you are following and commenting just to troll the seller, maybe it is your comment that does not belong in the for sale thread.

I wasn't "trolling" the seller, apparently I am trolling you, although that wasn't my intent either. I've already clearly stated my intent. I'll stand down and my apologies.

This plane is one of a kind for sure. It’s an experimental with a engine that is no longer in production. This is a very unique plane with a very limited number of buyers.

I am sorry if the post is lengthy.

This is a special airplane built by Darryl Greenamyer. You may not be familiar with him, you might take time to look into. I feel as the current owner I am the custodian of a very small piece of aviation history. I try to only post when I either get better photos, questions, or make a modification. I feel I am carrying the spirit and intent of this forum. It is a unique aircraft deserves an opportunity here.

I have worked hard to care for it and improve it along the way. All this to uphold the history and passion that we all share for anything Beechcraft and even other aircraft. It’s my hope to make sure it’s cared for in the future.

The aircraft is for sale for real, but for the right owner. This is an active vibrant machine. I get a lot of calls from people who understand the significance of its history and share the passion for all things aviation.

Darryl passed away last year. Last fall I was in Topeka with the BigBo. As I taxied for TO the CAF B29 taxied across the ramp in front of me. I snapped a quick photo. That occurred very near to his passing I believe. Just 2 planes of many he had flown, but for me it was special they crossed paths at that time.

Thank you to those who understand what this is about.

Paul, just keep lowering the price until the bell rings.

Paul,
I got to touch that plane when Jim Huff owned it. We had repaired a Cessna 402 for him. He flew that badass Bo here, to check up on his 402. I asked him how fast it was. He replied "how fast do you want to go".

It'd be a perfect company flyer, but I'm holding back for a bit.
