The original seatbelts were more of a "Flight Attendant" style setup for the shoulder harness'. Mine were a "Y" similar to the factory ones, but I like this airplane's better! I too am looking for a way to add rear shoulder harnesses. I contacted the company stated as doing the seatbelts and they told me they only do repair and re-webbing. Maybe it was done on a field approval or the seats are from a later model V35B?

Some people may not be familiar with the IO470C and might be concerned about the OH age. I have one that's getting past about 2,000 hrs SMOH in 1993, and about 400 STOH. That's right, I topped it past TBO. We were pulling a cylinder for an exhaust leak, found out it had an exhaust crack and the wrong piston. So we pulled the rest, and 3 others had cracks because all had been repaired by a previous owner, and they mistakenly installed all 7.5:1 pistons. While we were in there, we checked out the lifters and lobes. At that point, everything internally looked pristine, so we decided to replace the pistons and jugs and fly on. Then we installed the Electroair EIS and overhauled the fuel manifold, 1 mag (+ spare now), alternator and starter. We'd already replaced the hoses when we added a fuel totalizer. The last time I added oil was early June at annual when we changed the oil. It's still at the top mark on the stick. I'm in a happy place with how she is running.
The person who commented about 160KTAS at 8k is precisely on the money. With the EIS, I get 160KTAS at 13K on just under 10gph, and a few knots higher as I burn off fuel. I can easily get 165 running flat-out at 3-4K. In the winter I cruise climb at 500fpm straight to 13k, and I generally get about 1000-1300fpm climbs from sea level at a little over 100KIAS. Cylinder temps are not an issue, although the EIS timing advance does heat them up above 8k in a climb, requiring pitch down a hair to get a little more airspeed to keep them cool.
Anyone who's flown the heavier birds and the lighter ones will tell you that these are without question some of the nicest handling and responsive planes out there. Feather-lite touches on the yoke are all that's required. I literally use the fat of my fingers for pitch and roll changes. They also tend to have forgiving CGs on the aft side, but can be nose heavy with full tanks, 2 up front, and without ballast in the back. I store some heavy stuff like extra cases of water and my toolkit against the aft bulkhead and it's not a problem.
Somebody's going to get a nice Bonanza.

Okay, I admit I am the thick one in the group. To clarify… the airplane currently has 1268 SMOH and the overhaul was done in 1998? If that is the case, couple of questions:
1) Who did the overhaul? Field, factory, etc 2) Do you have logbooks digitally available? 3) Do you have Oil Analysis history? 4) Do you have engine download history from the engine monitor?

Brian- Engine was overhauled in May 1998 by Certified Engines Unlimited in Miami to "factory recommended limits" and installed in June 1998. Yes, logs are fully digitized and available here (bottom of page): https://www.aircraftassociates.com/n684t/. The Notable Maintenance Summary will provide you with a quick reference of the major work that has been done. It does not appear oil analysis has been done based on the engine log but I will confirm with the owners. I do not have the current engine download history but can check on that as well.
