I doubt that Piper will address this. The bigger question is "Are you going to keep the plane for 30 years ?" At $399,000, this is the lowest priced Malibu on the market. It's a more than fair price for a plane with 150 hour engine, prop, turbos, accessories and hydraulics. Some one is going to get a great airplane which will serve them well for years if not decades. I would just keep it, but I want a King Air. I don't need a King Air, but heck .. I don't NEED a Malibu.
If the life limit on the airframe is a concern, a new M350 has a 10,000 hours. So, the math is 46% more useful life for 400% more cost ...

That is some airplane math.....
