did you do MX with Code1?

I use Fighter Maintenance Contracting, Gadsden AL. Very knowledgeable shop, and they maintain dozens of these. Shane Phillips is a mechanic that I can call any day of the week and get questions answered. They are also a certified avionics repair station (pitot/static cert's) and a Garmin Dealer.

Perfect. With my upcoming retirement looming, I now have an answer for SWMBO when she asks what I'd like for a retirement gift.

the engine was overhauled in 2017 at the Motorsich factory in Ukraine. It is an 850-hour OH, this one has somewhere around 320 hours on it (I fly it about 50 hrs per year, which seems to be the normal fleet usage). It is CRAZY clean inside the engine compartment and accessories.

there are versions of the OH that are good for 1,000 hrs, and I honestly don't know the difference.

And since it's in the experimental world, I think you can run the engine past the published OH number as long as it's inspected during the annual condition inspection (and as long as the inspection doesn't reveal any problems). This should be covered in the airplane's Airworthiness Inspection Program (AIP).

100% true, and pretty commonly done.

Did you ever sell this? I don't suppose you would be interested in a partial trade? I have a fully restored T-6 so you would at least be staying in the military aircraft game but just a "bit" more vintage (and on the right side lol)...

Had a sales contract on it earlier in the month (still may come to fruition), and another separate interested party coming next month to fly with me.

I've had more interest than I expected for a dead-of-winter sale.

I appreciate the offer, but I don't think a trade will work for me.
