This is a long story, but here are the essentials.
First...I know very little about this airplane and have never flown it. The last annual was performed in June of 2019. Shortly after, the owner became ill and later passed away. His widow and family didn’t know what to do with the aircraft, so it remained parked in a hangar for several years. When hangar rent stopped being paid, the plane was moved outside to the ramp and tied down.
Prior to 2019, annuals were completed in 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2017, and 2018. They go back further than that, but this list shows it was being inspected regularly during its active years.
I have not gone through the logbooks in fine detail, but all logs for the engine, airframe, and prop appear to be present.
Airframe TT: 7,690
Engine: E-185-11
TTSOH: 1,644
Paint: Yes, it has paint

it’s faded and not in great condition. That being said these pictures were taken as the plane sits... so washing might make it look way better.
Interior: Essentially a total loss. Usable to sit on, but nothing worth keeping.
Avionics: Nothing notable. Just older instruments and radios, all in unknown working condition. Gyros were spinning when powered on, and that’s about all I can confidently report.
The engine starts, run-up was good, and it idles smoothly.
Ruddervators: I’m not an expert, but they were inspected in 2019 when AD 94-20-04 was noted and complied with. In my brief review of the logs, I saw no record of any issues with the ruddervators.
This aircraft is best considered a parts plane or a very extensive restoration project. It is being sold as is, where it is, and how it is.
Asking $20,000, feel free to make an offer if you are seriously interested in it.
