What altitudes? I honestly don't think mine is quite that fast if the GTN's are to be believed.

I tend to stay in the 350-380 range. This is the only 501 I've flown but apparently it has some "magic" in it. Full glass panel, no TRs, no power brakes, no recog lights, etc yields a fairly light BEW and rearward CG (I regularly have rocks in the nose to keep it in CG). This results in much less drag from the horizontal stabilizer and higher cruise speeds. It is ceramic coated and I am quite fastidious about cleaning it before flights.

When I first got it I would cruise at MCT (670 ITT) and would get 375-378 KTAS. At Tarver's suggestion I now cruise at 650 and see mid 360s depending on temps.

well, at least you made up for it with the same amount on the tail :)

Yes, winter jet stream is no joke. It helps that the tailwind is on the way home.
