Plane has been hangared as far back as I can remember, at least to 1994, but probably longer. I knew the previous owner since 1994, and was acquired in early 2021. So only 2 owners and 3 pilots in the last 31 years, all hangared in the Bismarck/Mandan ND area.
In 2023 the plane went through an extensive work period that included total strip of the old panel and wiring, and build of a new panel. Engine was sent off for overhaul to Signature Engines in Cincinnati during that time also.

During the acquisition in early 2021 many little bugs were resolved. Some of the work includes
- Repaired RH fuel cells by Hartwig
- Overhauled fuel selector
- Overhauled Landing gearbox (Aerospace Turbine Rotables)
- Overhauled boost pump
- Installed Rosen Visors
- New throttle cable
- Installed Cygnet dual yoke
- Installed new Whelen LED beacon
- Installed NEW LH fuel cell (FFC Manufacturing)
- Installed BAS Rotary shoulder harness kit
- Installed overhauled alternator
In April 2023 the engine was removed and sent to Signature Engines. The work began on the avionics while the engine was away.
The old floating panel and all old wiring was removed. Here is what was installed.
-D'Shannon engine baffles
- New MaxDim dimmers
- New Master switch
- Installed a used cowl flap on LH side where exhaust pipe had worn old one
- Installed a better battery box, painted new
- Removed lower engine instruments, replaced with blanking panel
- New Whelen Nav/Strobe lights (wing and tail) and Whelen landing lights. Strobes are synced together.
- Installed PMA led interior lamps
- GAMI injectors
- Tanis engine heater
- Battery Tender wired to oil fill door
Here was the avionics work. Only thing kept from old install was the S-Tec Sys50 w/ alt hold and the GNS430W.
