Oh man, I love that scheme. I'd be tempted to paint mine in an army scheme, but it was never an army plane... not sure what the proper etiquette is on that.

It's been done by N1959T but you could throw on the Pink Panther in honor of the 138th Aviation Company who flew them in Vietnam!

They didn't have them on the RU-8Ds, the 146th Avn Co (RR) had the "Snoopy flying his doghouse" cowl art, but the RU-21Ds had the shark mouth!

I saved N1959T many years ago. It was purchased by a non-Pilot man in the midwest that ran a custom woodworking shop. Still don't know whey he ever bought it
It is a 1959 D50B. She had a lot of potential and I couldn't pass on buying it !
We got it in ferry-able condition and brought it back to Schenectady where we whipped it into much better condition and sold it to three fella's from Oklahoma. They eventually sold ti to is current Texas Owner, Mark Davis who had it put in military paint. Nice work too I may add!!

Gregg :pilot:

Ha, some enterprising entrepreneur took my commission and turned it into a T-shirt. Should I be angry they changed the N-number?

Someone else now appears to be claiming a copyright on that picture (look just under the elevator).
