Hey Guy's... I'm a new member of the forum. I owned/flew a Maule for years and my typical mission was fun flying with the kids... Over time my mission has changed to more of a need for a family hauler and the Maule no longer fit my family. So I embarked on searching for a good X-Country performer that could still land on dirt if need be.
I flew 182RG's, 210's, Mooney's, Cardinal's, Lance's, etc... and finally found a guy that was looking for a high performance tail-dragger (Kind of serendipitous, if you ask me). Anyway, he really liked my plane, and I loved his, so we were able to come up with a mutually agreeable trade...
So yesterday, I flew home my new (to me) 1977 V35B. It's a gorgeous plane and has awesome performance...
GONE is my Maule... and the days of cheap annuals, inexpensive parts and unbelievably short dirt strips. I guess now I'll have to get spiritually right with more expensive annuals, parts and long swaths of concrete...
I've been reading through all the posts around here and find the information really helpful.
Anyway... Glad to be a part of the group!
