"Victor" is serial number D-190, March 1947. It has been in the family 43 years. I have owned it for 13 years. I am strictly VFR for 37 years, no auto pilot, just fly the airplane. Light control a real pleasure to fly. I am a fan of iFly 720 GPS but also run a Garmin 396. I purchased at OSH Skyradar last summer. ADS-B in the midwest is a bummer unless you as the external antenna. Now with the antenna ADS-B is great starting about 2,500' above the surface. Forget getting traffic help. Base is Fairmont State Airfield, Nebraska (FMZ), west of Lincoln about 50 miles. I often fly to the cabin, PWC, Pine River MN. Just suffered a crack, top center 6" down on a D-Shannon speed slope windshield. Cause unknown, parked outside no cover 5 degrees outside and the cabin facing south in the sun may have done the number. Had heat on the engine and cockpit was warmed by the sun, next time the cover will go on the cabin. This is one of the few times I did not cover Victor while traveling. Otherwise Victor is always hangared. Frank Heinisch, Geneva NE.

Frank, Welcome to BT. I love planes which retain the silver polish. Glad you have read enough BT to post a pic with the intro. Tim
