Hello,

New member here. Rookie private pilot (got my ticket in December 2012). Flying out of a club in San Diego. Currently flying mostly skyhawks, with a bit of time in 182s, and did my tailwheel endorsement for the fun of it.

My dad has a P35, my club has an S35. I'm on starting my instrument training soon (trying to build up the PIC XC time first), with plans to get checked out in the club S35 after I get my instrument ticket.

Welcome Robert!

Flying in San Diego has all of the best environments for training. Beautiful weather, Class B close by to learn how to deal with it, lots of uncontrolled airports, restricted areas, mountain airports, desert airports (for practicing those Xwind landings), you name it.

First name middle name thing. I should try to get the user named changed to Paul.

San Diego has been great for training. I feel pretty comfortable with ATC for VFR ops. The other nice plus is actual IMC. I'll probably have to to take advantage the May Gray and June Gloom.
